Well l don’t actually have the virus…at least l don’t think l have. But l think l will go into that in another #blog. Let’s just continue to catch up for now.
Well it has definitely been a minute since l’ve written, and soooooo much has happened since. I don’t think l will be able to fit it all in, so maybe l will stick to the key things.
Our lovely bass player Mike has left, but will be returning to dep from time to time. It was really weird because, the lighting tech guy Luke who joined us a couple of months prior. Well l turn up to a show and see him standing in Mike’s place playing the bass. We knew Mike was filling in, but all the time they guys were talking about Luke replacing Mike, it did not click that it was this Luke. 😀

Also Mark our lovely drummer has left, who will also be returning to dep from time to time. He has now been replaced by a guy called Marcus. I would have met him this week if we were able to fly out to our shows in Switzerland this week. Due to the #coronavirus and how it is impacting #theworld, we are unable to go. So l guess l will meet him, if and when we get back on the road again.

Last week l went on my yearly visit to the Hayes Conference Centre for a prayer retreat with WPC. Lovely place. They look after you so well. You could easily leave there carrying an extra stone and that won’t be one for the garden either. We were advised not to hug and there were sanitisers on walls throughout the site too. Even though we were aware of the virus and the many lives it had started to take. I don’t think any of us were prepared for what was to come next. I don’t think the #wholeworld was not prepared for what we were about to enter into #pandemic. Although maybe it should have been. Maybe that’s for another #blog.

Initially l had stopped writing simply because, l was happy with the fact that l finally knew this blog was in a place where l could write anywhere. For instance l am now writing in bed at 3.57 am Wednesday 25th March 2020, having been awake since 1.30 am (l can’t sleep). I did a little reading and then decided to make even more use of my time, so l started my quest to get my blog as current as possible. l really am enjoying writing it.
Knowing that my blog was up and running, l decided l was going to put all my attention on setting up my YouTube channel. This has been much worse than getting my blog set up. I have come to the conclusion that l am no longer as tech savvy as l used to be. Well, eventually l got the site up and live and was able to get a post up. Unfortunately, l was unable to set it up exactly how l wanted. I then decided after weeks of trying to alter this one thing, namely the banner, l was going to cut my losses, delete the site and start all over again. I looked at videos about it, contacted Google and looked at YouTubes videos on the topic. They all more or less said the same thing, still my channel would not let me alter the banner image. So, l deleted it. l intend to set up the site again some time today, reloading the first post l uploaded. All, of course, after l have slept a little and attempted to sort out Chantelles room. Her allergies have got to go, but that is for another blog.
So now we are officially in #Lockdown. l cannot believe l am saying these words in 2020, but l am. We are now in #lockdown and l am determined to use my time effectively.
I plan to: 👏🏽 Set up my YouTube channel 👏🏽Write my blog posts 👏🏽 lch habe Maine Deutsh zu lernen 👏🏽 Continue playing my piano. Then there is the one thing that l know is really going to be a challenge for me, even though l have felt like doing my art again these past few weeks – 👏🏽 Finish the painting of Traceys mom. It is all drawn up, but l freaked myself out when it came to painting it, simply because l was determined to use another medium…that being oils. Prior to that l have only used acrylics, watercolour, pencils, pastels etc. Never oils, the medium l absolutely adore. Maybe that is why. I used go to the #museum and #art gallery and just stare at the paintings in there. I have not done that for soooo long. That is definitely going to be on the top of my list once this quarantine has been lifted.
Keeping this blog post current is the way forward. l think l can do this from the next post onwards, which will be great. Hopefully l won’t run out of things to post about. Then with my #YouTube channel, l will upload the back dated videos, after l have edited them all. I will continue to do that until l am up to date with current events. Then l guess, like my #blog, l will have to take it one day at a time and see what direction the channel will go in, as all work has been cancelled till the end of May…

Righty-oh. (Not sure if l spelt that right, l actually don’t think it’s a word…it just felt right in my brain) I am going to finish this #blog and get it posted. Although it is not up and running yet, my YouTube channel will be sorted out by the end of this week yeyyyy!!!. Hopefully the issue that has held everything up has now been resolved, if not, l shall persevere until it is. So please look out for my #YouTube channel which will simply be named #DeeLewars. I also have an Instagram page too, where l will be putting more posts on too as it is all set up now. To be honest, they all need tweeking, but for now, the most important thing is that we are up and running. It will be nice to have them all personalised, but the tweeking can be done at a later date.
Well bye for now, until the next post. Stay safe.
❤xx
